Get it looked at by someone who knows what they are doing? Sounds like you are just trying random new parts.

Where are you based....someone will be able to point you in the right direction. Would also help others to offer advice if you specify the model year.

And, last but not least, welcome to SN

Michelle, do you know what model year your car is, ie MY99 (a 1999 model year car, which would be a version 5 STI, 2000 or MY00 would be a version 6) as there are quite a few different years and they do vary a fair bit mechanically.

Oh, that will become expensive the codes are not 100%, they are what the ecu "thinks" may be wrong, doesnt mean it is wrong.

Hmmm they didnt have any STI's with red top engines in 1993 so its either had an engine transplant (the red top engines were not fully intergrated into the STI range until the version 3's which were 1997 cars), or its had the inlet manifold sprayed, could be complicated if its the wrong engine etc for the car....
The first production STI (some call it a version 1 but its not, its just an MY94 STI as they didnt know they were going to do any more ) was in 1994, limited model numbers.

The yorkshire people use this place quite a bit http://www.sheffieldsubaruservice.co.uk/index.htm so probably worth getting your car booked in there for a check up
There is also a forum for west yorks on here
