Default have i done the right thing??

just been to the local auction, they had a p reg impreza wrx there.

wanted to see what it went through for.

bidding stopped at £775

thought i`ll bid.............

sold to me for £800

could not believe it lol

needs a little tlc but a bargin.

ok had a snoop about, its not got an alarm which is alarming lol!!
its got sti clear rear lights
from what i can make out stainless exhaust from cat back with 4-5 inch tailpipe
a silly bov valve dont know what make.
funny colour bulbs in the crystal headlights
smoked side repeaters.
more updates in the morning!!

yes mate but only mile or so from the auction house, slow too incase it went bang!! plus it wasnt fully warmed up.

imported 2008, does this mean the tax is going to be 400+ a year?
also its got a turbo timer, wondered why it ran on for a while when turned it off!

i'm pretty sure they've changed the tax rules for the older cars now so there the same price as the other classics, don't hold me to it though. sounds like a bargain though mate.

Mine was imported in jan 2008 and road tax is based on the age of the car, not the import date, so you should just pay what you would pay for a normal 2 litre of that age.

Sounds good,i wonder why it sold so cheap tho.You would of thought the seller would put a higher reserve on it.

whats the mileage,tax and mot on it?Any service history?

Probably was a PX into a garage and was too old for their forecourt so just sent it to auction, and get what ever they get. Most dealers do it now days.

ok took some pictures will post them soon.
got a years m.o.t, since the m.o.t in july its done 20 miles! since coming into this country its done about 3k!! (imported 2008)

yeah it wil be 137 for 6 months mine has drop from 225 for 6 months to 137 and yes i very happy and wher eit is over ten year old any way it would not need an sva so it would be on the old tax system i belive

its got all the .m.o.t`s and the jap report and imports papers,
two manuals (jap)!!

148km so make it about 80k miles?

just checked the water/oil etc
ALLOY RADIATOR
water level a bit low so topped up with water/coolant
oil level on dipstick (not ran at all today) is looking like nearly up to half the dipstick!
oil and filter change me thinks.......

Looks fairly tidy for the money; no stupid bolt-on tat barring the backbox, which is always a good sign.

I've seen alot worse for alot more money. Hell, I think I've seen ones with blown engines sell for more
