more comfortable seats, more reliable and the power delivery is smoother, but don't worry its still got the kick in the teeth. although maybe not a huge kick at standard torque and horsepower.

if your talking about the STI versions for both then i have to say the bugeye is better (in my opinion) my dad has a version 6 (last of the classics) & the car is truley amazing but it lacks the 6th gear something my version 7 (bugeye) has plus i modded the looks of my newage & recon it looks more nicer then a modded classic does

A standard Bugeye WRX is very bland, overweight and underpowered in comparison to todays performance cars. Seriously consider the Bugeye STI as they are leagues ahead of the WRX and a serious car when fettled with.
Something like this is worth every penny. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2046884.htm

Mine? I picked up a very bland wrx and, even if I do say so myself, turned it into a desirable motor that I am proud to own.
I never set out with a large budget to blow, I got hold of the spoiler, skirts, exhaust, foglight covers, suspension at good prices, the little touches like the carbon side markers (which are back on now after being replaced with fresh ones) and clear repeaters cost a few quid only anyway.
Go for the Bugeye!
