Default Cat-C/D insurance ?

Has anyone ever had a cat-c/d car ? If so is insurance any harder or more expensive ? Not a scooby by the way, a £500-700 shed

think the cat d are slightly easier as do not need a vic check some companies will ask for a report but so long as you had the vic should be ok as this is acceptable i would buy either as some real bargains out there but only if i was having it repaired or new who had repaired as also alot of dogs out there hth

yes had one and no not a problem to insure, if you crash they would just reduce the payout by 10 to 20%.

i had a cat d dropped on me once a renault megane cab 02 plate, my own fault should have hpi ed it and didnt bother, a straight car was worth around £3000, according to my insurance at the time i would only get £1100 if car was stolen written off, a lesson to be learnt!!! it was quickly passed on!!!
