Default £3000 options

hi all, need an engine re-build just wondering what choices i have and what would you do with 3 grand ? how much am i lookin at to get forged ? 2.5short block?or any other engine suggestions so many options
also ive heard api racing are very good and tfs racing. anyone know other specialists they would reccomend ?

what are your plans power wise? you can buy a newage sti engine for 1000-1500 and they are good for 400+ BHP. As for rebuild specialists A.P.I engines are your first port of call

Paul Finch - forged 2.5 bottom end = £2K
V7STI "lump" £1K

2.1 kit £2K approx.

Give David at API a call and he will listen to what you want to do with the car and he will give you all the options and from my experience will not sell you something you don't need, personally I would not use anyone else.

Personally I'd think carefully about WHO I would like do the work to get the car back on the road and take it from there

When you have decided WHO you want to do the work then give them a call you can concentrate on what you need to do with the engine, clutch, drivetrain etc to get you back on the road again.

I'll bet David at API and Martyn at Enginetuner are looking at this thinking they can sort you out. Paul Finch might be looking as well....... LOL
