I have a 2003 plate impreza wrx. I have a had it for a week or so and i have noticed a reving problem.

When i change gear (usually under load) it will kick up approx 500 rpm before it drops. Can anyone advise to what might be causing this?

MY MATE HAS TO 2003 BLOB TO and when he drives it the same happens,, but when i drive it it doesnt. i wouldnt worry about it to much.

yo!. my 2000 classic used to do it. i kinda like it. i dont know if it helps but my clutch was on the way out.

thanks for the comments. I know its prob nothing to worry about but its quite annoying. It sounds like im riding the clutch on gear change when im actually not. I would imagine its possibly a faulty sensor of some sort but not sure?
