shouldnt be to bad on a car of that age mate, rusty bolts is the main concern but if you give them a good soak in wd40 or the like first and leave to soak then its usually a straight forward job

easier to take the intercooler off to do , then the turbo shield remove that.
then
3 nuts , and two nuts and bolts . on the turbo
small bolt on gearbox
another underneath , then two nuts and bolts that join to center section ,
oh yeah and o2 sensor to swap .

they not bad to do

Dead easy mate, get the engine warm 1st as the bolts will come off much easier, and should not snap,I changed the original downpipe last week on a 1995 classic and no such problems even with rusted bolts, some wd40 sorted them out.

I've just done mine. As said above, WD40 & a little bit of leverage & it's quite an easy job to be fair.

i've just done mine whilst changing the turbo,

it's not too bad to just do the down pipe part from all the bloody heat shields, they are a real pain as you can't see all the 10mm bolts that have stupidly long threads for some reason
