For me - never in a month of Sundays.
If it was to be my only car however - my head may have to rule my heart.

If the 2008 sti was a JDM then I would have a think otherwise 22b all the way mate. Apart from anything else you'l lose a shed load on depreciation on the 2008 sti compared to nothing on the 22b

22B is starting to look very dated, but it is a lovely looking car. A true classic.

I've never liked the hatch, so it would be a no brainer for me. Swap it for an Exige if you fancy a change

With the engine problems the Hatches have and the fact the 22B is by far the best looking and most iconic Impreza ever made these really is only one winner

Im getting the 2008 at a decent price so if i keep a month which is long for me will i loose much? What value would you put on it? 2008 2 owners 27k miles warranty till jan 2011.

Remap will fix the underlying problem. But it's still got chocolate pistons. The CDB on the 22B is bulletproof, the EJ257 in the hatch aint lol

Depends what you want to use it for.

If you're going to be doing 10k miles per year as an every day car then i'd say the 2008 STI.

The 22B is obviously a great car, but i'd be scared to put the miles on it.

lol you have a car that is ultra rare and has all the googies from STI and yet you are considering to accept a potent, civilized STI 2008....

what can I say....you must be nuts.....

The 22B is up for sale anyway so its not like its a wrench to let it go, if the deal is right for you then why not....Now....If it was a case of someone offering the 2008 STI for a deal on the 22B when it wasnt for sale..............Not a bloody chance!!!

The 22B could still go up further in value but the STI hatch like others have said will plummet. If it was me I would prefer the 22B especially as it not your every day car.

Goodluck

What you just said is exactly right and this is why i put the poll up.The deal is right thats why im having a hard think about it but the poll has made it alot harder now lol.

As for the questions am i nuts i do take medication for psychiatric issues yes.

Ps if i dont go for 2008 i will remove the advert on my 22b .

if you did get rid of the 22b big fud, how long would it be until you started looking at another one, if its sooner rather then later then don't bother getting rid. i know if i was in your position that 22b would of never seen the for sale part on here if its as tidy as you say.
