Default Whats the difference between the two?

I have recently been looking at JDM bugeye's & i have noticed some read 9,000 RPM on the rev counter & some read 10,000 RPM. So is there a difference between the two or is it just a extra?

ive got a 05 jdm sti and mines 9,000rpm,not sure about the 10,000rpm could be on different year of car, but i stand to be corrected tho.

My 02 JDM WRX has 9,000 too, but I believe the WRX redlines earlier than an Sti's

forgot to add that these are the JDM bugeye sti's im talking about.
