Default Oil on Green panel filter MY00 classic

Hello

I'm paranoid that oily filters kill MAFs!

I have cleaned the green panel filter with Green cotton filter cleaning fluid.

I have small can of Green oil too. Instructions say spray light even coat over all of filter. The picture shows a cone filter which you could only spray on the outside.

Should I spray oil on both sides of panel filter???

Thanks

Just the outside - the air facing side of you like, the oil is to help trap and catch particiles of sh*t

I take it the filter sits inside the original airbox?

Thanks.

Yes, sits in the original airbox.

It is totally logical that it is only that side that needs oiling, so why did I do both!?

Oh well, I'll clean it again and do it properly at the weekend. I had a feeling I was worng so decided not to change the MAF until I'd double checked.

Thanks again.
