Default V8 STI Steering Wheel into V4 Type R

Got a STI steering wheel coming from a V8 - will it fit relative hassle free or will I need the spring in behind? I've changed it once already but that was just with a like for like wheel.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Trouble is I don't think I will have it - I'm only getting the airbag and the steering wheel. Can I get the spring from the stealers? I'm guessing I just order the newage one?

The splines are fine - I have one in my garage waiting to go on when I work out how to make a connector to my (original STI4) clockspring.
