Question

Got nice SUB plate on car at moment. Everyone tells me to transfer it to my new Sti when I get in 2 weeks. I think it,ll make the car look older than it is as its a T plate. Others say its just a good looking plate and no-one will notice. What do you reckon . Put on Sti or leave on old car.

Chip.

Cool

Hi Chip,
I had the same dilemma, go for it....... your 02 plate won't stay new for long, whereas your personal plate makes it a bit different.
I don’t regret putting mine on.

It won't make any difference to your new car, if anything it'll make it stand out from the other 02s. I've got an X reg P1, and have had both a P and a J plate on it, but never an X.

As has been said they don't stay new for long, I have a T plate on my UK300, I would move your plate over too.

I got an R plate on my my00. Might look older than it is but in the current light of car jackings, it may not look as attractive as a new one

Go for it. I have a G plate on my Y reg UK300 that goes with my job. I was same as Deer Hunter, some dickH asked me how old the car was and wasnt I ready for new one - it was 1 week old at the time. I just laughed so much the guy started looking, then went bright red when he realised what he had said. And a Y reg would be old by now as well. Dare to be different!!!!!

I've got an L reg on my 51, it's a bug-eye right?

Leave the 02 on just long enough for the neighbours to see

I put an S plate on my old V reg car and it made it stand out. Definately would put it on the new motor when it arrives.
