I'm running mine at 38 as I like the skitty feeling you get on corners.

A good source of car knowledge reckons its bit too high.

I used to run my tyres with 33.

I know someone who runs his on 26.

So whats acceptable and what isnt then?

Surely it varies with load and tyre/rim size. I run my 225/40/18s at 31psi, i find at that pressure i don't get the usual tramlining at slow speed often associated with 18" rims

 

I didnt see the bottom line at first. My jaw dropped and thought 'he's having a laugh'

 

I dont ususally find mine tramlines. I got 225/40/18's.

I had a BMW a few years back with 235 on front and 265 on back and it tramlined terribly.

I think tramlining is a lot to do with your geo setup as well as tyre/rim size, but thats getting off topic. I was explaining why i personnally run at 31psi

 

Aye, you are right I was going a bit off topic. That's fair enough why you run 31 PSI. I though I would ask people why as different experiences etc lead people to differing conclusions I suppose.

34F/32R on 18s. I'm not sure why, but I seem to remember someone @ Power Engineering advised me of these pressures years ago. Car does tramline a bit, but I can live with it, never thought to experiment really. Feels good in the corners.

 

Cant remember but I'm sure when if you got the Prodrive Springs fitted with the correct geometry Prodrive recommended I THINK 33F/31R .. I say I think cos it was a long time ago but I remember the 2 psi difference between the front and rear .. That was with 17s btw.
Currently trying 35F/33R to see if it makes any difference.

I've always used what Powerstation recommended years ago for me. 34F/36R

 

I might drop the PSI down to 36 from 38 and see how it feels.

1.9 bar rear, 2.3 bar front (as per subaru's plate on the car).
Had no difficulty with this pressure on 225/45/17's
