Default Confused ??? which isnt hard

Ive got a 1998 import which i fitted a cdb and sti V3 heads shim under bucket the ones. Its got standard yellow 440 injectors, now the turbo is a Vf22. I was trolling through the flea bay and found this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VF22-IHI-450BH...item19be911bf3

Now i was going to change my turbo for a bigger on like a VF30 or VF35 or even a VF43, or the second option was to buy this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

and mod my old tdo5 turbo.

Now i dont know what to do as im only looking for around 330-350 bhp. Dont want to kill my engine or gearbox. Also I have a STI top mount intercooler at the moment will putting a fMIC make alot of difference for what im trying to achieve powerwise and also are 440cc injectors man enough for 350bhp

any help would be good

Do you really think your getting a quality turbo at that price?

I lolled at this (total bs btw)

Stick to a vf35 or a TD05 16G (not some cheap ebay copy).

I would look for some 550cc injectors to be on the safe side then a remap

Just look for VF35 and STi pink injectors and you will see 330-340BHP

The VF22 is the most delicate of all the VF series turbos that I am aware of.
450 bhp from a VF22. Either the advertiser doesn't know what he is talking about or is telling porkies. Simple as that.
Not a good idea to run too much boost or overspeed these turbos as the consequence can be quite spectacular. As for power, maybe the guy made a genuine mistake and meant 350 bhp. They certainly operate at 330 bhp and perhaps a bit more.
If you want 350 bhp look at a VF34 or a TD05 18G. A TD05 16G or a VF35 are unlikely to get to 350 bhp unless you are lucky.
