Hey Guys/Girls,

Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong section...

My Impreza has recently developed a knocking when turning to the left which sounds like it's coming from the front end. My initial thought is that a drive shaft was on its way out. Over time it's got worse & now knocks when I go over any 'bumps' in the road but still only knocks when I turn to the left, it's fine when turning right.

Can anyone confirm if it sounds like a drive shaft may need replacing, or anything else it could be?

It could be the CV joint, Mine was recently doing this.
Because my car had Hybrid shafts i had the outer CV joint changed an since then its stopped.
BUT you can also take into consideration your anti roll bar bushes too, Mine were buggered so i changed them at the same time.. all my knocking has stopped..

It could be the drop links on the front suspension easy to check if they have play.
