Default think im being ripped off advice asap

hi i brought an engine from someone of this site i paid £400 through paypal for a 94 wrx engine on 2 weeks ago today ive still not recieved engine the guy only contacts me through email and wont txt or fone me he said he sent it thursday and paid for the delivery through paypal so i got my mechanic to start taking the engine out i rang the transport company today they dont have any pallet with an engine or anything being deliverd to blackpool and dont accept payment through paypal either sounds dodgy to me what does every1 else think i dont want to give names yet not until i no for definate whats happening im giving him till tomoz to either send the engine which i will check or ill retract the money advice needed asap please people

did u get a tracking number etc? if u know what courier service is being used and u have contacted them,and no luck,then i would start getting a little concerned,if it went thursday,it should defo be with u tomorrow,if its not then......??????? what courier was it with?

was aparently using steve porter transport but have had no idea what i was talking about...

p.s. 2 weeks isnt the end, ive just sold some morettes to a bloke in the states, he paid 2 weeks ago, I have to be in all day for collection, when you work 6 days a week its not that easy, im not saying this is whats happened but....

if they guy has ripped me off ive been clever and contacted sum1 off ebay that he brought an exhaust of and got the guys address so il be paying a little visit ti see him i think its a distance away but it will be worth the cost and time to teach people like this a lesson and i will post his name all over this site warning people about him

yes ur guess was right its not just the time its the fact hes told me he sent it thursday i rang the transport company he used today and they have no record of it or anything going to blackpool he also said he will give me the tracking number last friday also still nothing if he is genuine had just hasnt sent the engine then y tell me hes ent it and has the tracking number?? he did seem genuine so if he is i will retract my statement and correct this but cant see this happening

Steve Porter transport was the courier he told my mate he used. Transport company has never heard of him

Not yet. Paypal are investigating. He supplied a dummy tracking number. The buyer will be along to comment on this thread as I made him aware. Have home and mobile numbers if you want them. He's been away in the sun this past couple of weeks apparently

cancel paypal mate asap then pay a visit, and speak to him if he dosnt want to talk then report him to the police for fraud the'll investigate they have too good luck pm me his user name so i can be aware as i use this site alot and people like him need to be outed....! good luck

heard other people talking about this dick,sounds like a scammer to me have you canceled your payment if not do so if its been collected get in touch with paypal and report that you have no goods , i had to wait for money to go into my pal pal account untill finland got there act together and posted some wheels to a guy who bought them 2 weeks prior, paypal wouldnt release the wheels untill signed delivery maybe this is the way forward..

Does anyone else think that there should be a limit to how long people should have to wait to recieve there goods before we start to complain and get the mods involved?

Think 2 weeks is a good limit to be honest. That allows for faffing about and delivery times to be all factored in.

yes i agree there should be a time limit,and it doesnt take much to give some 1 a pm or txt to give updates as if your kept in the know its ok and you tend not to mind.

if it dosent turn up 2morrow,which i very much doubt and if it does its probably a duff engine,then i feel that the op has a long haul getting the 400 quid back unfortunetely. these people are scum!
