DV delete on newage sti tmic?
What have people done when they wanted to block the dv off with the newage sti tmic? if it where just a simple samco pipe like you get on a fmic thats easy to block off but the sti tmic has a specific dump valve fitment...
so what have you guys done to block it off? made a blanking plate? or can i simply pull the vac line off the dv and plug that?
also i dont need people saying keep the stock one, i know the pro and cons

When I had my TMIC on, I went to a local fabricators with my standard DV, and they drew round the shape and cut one out. Perfect fit and worked as I intended! I put a bolt in the vac pipe too.

3mm or 4mm stainless sheet. Steel ruler. Marking scribe. Angle grinder/disc cutter. If not a sheer/guiloteeen. Cut shape, file, drill two holes. Job done.
Alternatively, flange adaptor plus silicon joiner and plug the joiner.
Flange adaptor and joiner is £30. Plug can be anything handy around 36 diameter. Postage say £3.50.

Well a dump valve releases the built up pressure from the turbo when off throttle... removing/blocking/deleting the dump valve will induce compressor stall, that's when the air has no where to go and goes back towards the turbo which then gets chopped up by the compressor wheel creating that 'flutter' sound.
Can damage some fragile or old turbo's but the main effect is for sound.

I read (prob somewhere on here) that the VF series of turbos didn't cope very well with blanking off the DV. The TD's are stronger so can cope much better.
I compromised and bought an adjustable DV from Chrisdicko on this thread. It stays closed at low boost, giving that nice flutter sound but at higher boost levels it vents it.
