Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else has taken off the metal covers that block the flow of air out the bonnet vents...

Ive taken mine off and was wondering if anyone else has, im not to bothered about a little bit of water getting in..... just doesnt make much sense to have a nice set of bonnet vents then cover em up... but i suppose subaru had to cover all possibilites liek small animals getting in to the engine bay....

Any thoughts..

Dan

Red face

If looking from the front of the car, the one on the LHS (drivers side) isnt much of a problem to remove the metal plate, the other one is however a little bit more of a problem...
The RHS one when looking at the car, covers the electrics and shouldnt be removed but you could try spacing it with metal washers to let some more air in??

IMHO the water issue isn't a problem...what do U think happens when driving on a rainy day? The front end is a big gaping hole already...

Wink

LOL
but that cools the intercooler thou the other small vent is over the electrics, which should be waterproof but id still have it covered up to stop water ceeping onto the electrics.

Take a look at:

I've got just one on the driver side vent - plenty of cold air for my blitz airfilter.
