if its been serviced and not ragged to death it will be just about run in, big diesels go for a very long time.

Not for the engine IF it's been serviced regularly and properly. Yes, a lot if no service history.

For the rest of the car, a lot: suspension, electrics, switchgear clutch, brakes, seats bodywork, radiator hoses, glass, trim all will be tired.
BTW: it's DIESEL.

2.5 V6 Diesel .... 110,000 miles .... just about run-in.

But, the rest of the car is just as any other ..... things will start to show signs of wear and tear dependant upon the service life the vehicle has had - long motorway miles are gentle on Alternators, Starter Motors and the like - bearings take a hammering though.

thanks again. now then here is my dilema..........as the scooby is no longer possible to use due to work (i.e distance and cost) need sumit better on mpg. now my scoob is a uk with full s/s exhuast no cats td0516g remapped by api impreza sti......intercooler,rear lights,strut brace bonnet scoop and 18s. down pipe and uppipe and headers fully heat wrapped 3 port boost solnoid. anyways this adds up to rather a lot. so i maybe swapping the scoop for.....audi a4 tdi quartro (180) very nice looking car has 19s sline body kit sat nav full leathers but 110k. the guy wants a grand on top og my motor to swap me thinks hes taking the **** whats your views fellow scooby owners????? sorry for the long message ha ha ha

I wouldn't want to frighten you off but these engines aren't the most robust. Early PD models being the worst afflicted as the cam wasn't bulletproof before they added 6 unit injectors to it. Later models and the current 3.0s are apprently better.

If you can get a specialist opinion of the state of the engine, fine. Otherwise you're taking a bit of a risk... Though that's also true of imprezas!
