Default Fuel Gauge/sender issues.

Been having issues with the fuel gauge apparently not working, so I changed the clocks still not working. So today when I was fitting my Walbro fuel pump, I thought may as well test the sender.

So set it to max (float to the top), and the fuel gauge appeared not to move, but when I looked closer the gauge was moving but really slowly, and with the float on maximum took a good 5 mins to get to 1/4 tank.

What would cause this?? Dodgy fuel sender that needs replacing, or something else??

well, theres not much involved as in parts, either the clocks, which you have replaced,or the sender, so yes,i`d change the sender next

Will have a look and see if I can pick one up.

Just thought it may be wiring as the gauge does move, but very very slowly.
