Default My car is finished and boy, does it go?

Just got back from Harvey's after having the running in map removed from my car, oil change etc and the final map done by Bob Rawle.

The car now flies. It boosts to 1.5 bar and pulls strongly from 2000rpm right to the redline in all gears. Overtaking is blink of an eye stuff.

Thanks go to Harvey Smith for his help, Darren for the rebuild, Bob for the remap, and harvey's wife, Dawn, for the coffee and bacon butties.

After those bacon butties (notice the plural, the lucky bugger has had more than 1), he'll be sitting on a lot of wind !

LOL, it was built to give a decent 400/400 in a UK classic, so weight of 1250kg.

Haven't had it on any rollers, Bob maps on the road, and to be honest, I'm not interested in exact figures, that's pub talk.

All I know is that it flies when I want it to, but will potter around town at 1500 revs all day and is easy to drive.

Just stay off the limiter on those French motorways....

At 7000 rpm in top you'll be doing around 182 mph.

Glad you are chuffed !

LOL, it's not going this summer, can't afford the fuel and no aircon

We are taking the diesel Xantia, 50mpg, packed to the gunnels, all day at £1 a litre.
