6 months ago I paid £10k for a standard 04 sti, in immaculate condition with 25k on the clock, if that helps.

Just bought a 55 plate STi with PPP and 50k for 9.5K I would be looking for at least the 10k mark on that car. Best of luck with the sale.

I would have thought private sale 9.5-10.5 buyer with big ***** and heart thta would kill for it

if Immaculate, an enthusiasts car etc will always sell, maybe £11K, and if just what some buyer wants, BUT don't get toooo greddy as some sit around ages at 9K and unsold

IMHO IIRC

Tony

Ps my mate has one for sale now VERY simular spec on a 55plate and totaly immacuate

I had 2 dealers offering me 05/55 STi's with similar mileage when I was looking (a few weeks ago) for around £11,500.

why would you swap? you have been told you would need £5k on top of that deal? you may as well sell it for £7500 and get a decent mondeo and have £3k in your pocket....

the mondeo is worth a lot less that you car mate I would say to price it up at 10.5k and accept no less than 10k! also make sure you take excellent quality pics as they can really help sell the car

Well for what its worth i've been looking at sti's (dreaming really as i can't afford one at the mo and theres nowt wrong with me bug) and i've specifically been looking at the my05 as i've heard that they're one of the better models, i've been looking for months now primarily on pistonheads. I can definately say that a model like yours with full service history will go for the high 10's low 11's. Easy, possibly more if you want to hold out, obviously lower for a quick sale. Searching on pistonheads will also show the sold motors and the ball park amount that the car went for. No way is the mondeo worth the same amount as your sti.

Regards
Rick
