Default Help alleviate my worries, how many previous owners is too many?

As above considering going to look at a 54 plate STi which is up for sale, only 30k on the clock but the current owner is number 5, should this worry me?

He did mention that a Porsche garage was one of the owners, oh and he has only owned it 2 months. He gave the reason he likes to change his cars often and he has the opportunity to purchase a Seat Leon Cupra K1 off a friend. Am I too paranoid??

2 months isn't too long. Might be worth getting the car properly checked out....

It could be something like he can't afford it etc, but could be something worse...But, it might be fine!!

so when you come to sell it there will be 6 owners in total. For me thats far too many. In reality it may be fine but you will stuggling to sell it yourself when you get rid of it

Any car worth keeping is kept - simple as that.

Anyone hiding behind a, "I change my cars every 2 months" is not being completely truthful.

He has either found something nasty (like all the other owners have!) or he is making a few bob on the resale ...... he could have made the receipt up!

A 54 Plate with 5 Owners, last owner wanting to get rid after 2 months would make me walk away ---- no it wouldn't actually - I would RUN AS FAST AS I COULD!!!!!

There are lots of good ones out there .... I've just sold a One Owner 10 year old Impreza - now, that's the one you want!!

Yeah cheers guys, I think the fact I thought something of it should tell me anyway. I need to stick to my guns and wait for the right car, a nice low mileage, low owner STi

It's difficult to wait sometimes and not just buy the first thing I see, MUST WAIT!!!!

This is my own personal opinion, i think the problem with subaru's is people who are first time owners do not actually realise what they actually cost to run the dam things and once they have actually weighed up all the pro's and cons they get rid. Also i know alot of people use them as a daily driver, but in my eyes i think they are just a toy, bit like a motorbike. I would have had to sell mine because it was just not cost effective for me to use for work, but i love it too much and bought a punto 1.2 instead.

Its all relative and on its own not a make or brake factor for me. 1 Owner is to many if they have driven like an idiot, 12 owners would be fine if they have all loved and cared for it.
I would use it as a strong indicator about the car but not be lead entirely by the amount of owners.
