Default Advice Please On Fitting Forged Piston

I am about to get my 2.5 Mahle forged piston fitted. And my mechanic has asked me to find out what direction the arrow goes. He is used to a dot, on the pistons and knows what way they go. I appreciate all your help.

The arrow should point towards the front of the engine....

As Baly said - to the front.
There is normally an off-set on the Gudgeon Pin boss on the pistons,so make sure your mechanic gets the off-set correct prior to fitting.

**** - with questions like that, I'd be inclined to find a different mechanic!

Oh Peter do you hear want Urban is saying about Colin. LOL. I am having a nightmare, replaced turbo when i saw you last, got the car back, and it was still the same. So i have to put in forged pistons. Peter do you know anyone with a low milage newage 6 speed box with all bits required for a conversion. Thx, Richard.

Its a bit like a spark coming to do some work in your house and saying
I'm not familiar with these wires - I understand Black & Red wires, but what way round are these Blue & Brown things

Lol guys....

Some guys just want to double check and ensure they are doing things right, so in my eyes nothing wrong with double checking...as i say if your not sure you should ask.

Thx Sti_Baly, Colin has never fitted these pistons before, and just wanted to double check. Nothing more, nothing less.
