Default Exhaust Advice

Ok guys need some input here. Have an 03 blob, it has the standard sti exhaust on but looking to put filter, fuel pump and get it mapped by andy forrest. My problem arise when i am looking for an exhaust. Do i go full decat and have the headache of MOT's every year or do I go for a sports cat. If going for sports cat what are my options? Can i go only 1 cat and still pass the MOT. Baffled, please help. Is a sports cat much of a step down from a full decat. Dont want ear piercing neither heeeeellllllllpppppp

I have a Fujitsubo exhaust system for sale which is a japanese one piece system from the downpipe right back which is 3" bore which tapers to a 2.5" at the downpipe end to mate up with your existing downpipe if standard. it is nearly new which cost in excess of 1400.00 in Japan and is considered the best exhaust on the market in Japan. i am changing to a roger clark full 3" system hence the sale. i am looking for around 300.00 for it drop me a pm or tel 07773279732

Your car has two catalytic converters in the main exhaust system mate.
Personally, i'd fit a "sports cat" downpipe to stay legal, get rid of the 2nd cat which is the section of pipe just after the down pipe unit.
You can then run any type exhaust you want.
Bear in mind, that it WILL be louder.
With regards to a sports cat vs a decat.... i'd say roughly 5-10bhp difference.
Hope that helps.

I have a ninja sports cat downpipe, an afterburner decat second pipe, an afterburner (with silencer) mid pipe, and an afterburner vortex back box (very loud)
There are makes like hayward and scott, scorpion, miltek, and cobra but to name a few.

TSL Group N every day of the week. Beautiful bit of kit and very well made. Milltek de resonated centre section and decat down pipe. Get it mapped and enjoy the car the way it was meant to be. Should be some photos of mine in my profile if you car to look.

He doesn't say if it's fully mate, so it might be or it might not.

I had a Prodrive system fitted to my newage up until Sat morning, when i changed it over for a Cobra Sports system from Exhausts UK.

I went for their 'track' system to keep the noise down as the plan is to track the car and want to make sure it passes scrutineering.

Have gone for a 3" full decat system, with a 4.5" slash cut tail. Beauty of their set up is you can literally pick from a million different options on noise / performance / looks etc and if they don't have it, they can create it for you! The workmanship really is second to none.

I wanted something louder and less restrictive than the Prodrive set up, and that's exactly what I got. The scoob now has a really great deep burble sound (like it should) but is not **** like loud. You know it's there, but you can still do motorway miles without getting a headache!

Really loved their service down there, all the guys and girls are ace. Very highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a system.

you could always go with a prodrive sports cat as well,

mine has prodrive sports cat, straight through centre and a prodrive rear box.

sounds nice not too loud and the car is running a quite easy 340bhp/330flb.

i'm just looking at replacing it with a 3" system.
