Default Little advice needed please

Guys long shot but thought i would ask. Is there anybody on here that has thier own or works for a company that cleans driveways?

Not to sure but got bless my old dear she has had her driveway down and has been charged £350 for it which seems alot to me but I may be well wrong.

Her drive is roughly 4 cars long, I paced it out and is about 68ft x 10 fet wide, they also did a bit of her patio about 10ft x 10ft and the path that leads between the two again around 10ft long 4ft wide.

So all in all is £350 a good price for a days work clean and re-fill the sand etc

any advice would be great

steve

Hi we had some lads come round at the weekend they did next doors and it was £275 and all they did was spray it down. They wanted £750 to refill with sand, his is probally 5m x 15m.

£350 sounds ok, as they wanted £750.

Hope this helps

Labourers on about £200-250 p/d so if more than one guy + parts then £350 seems OK

Agree also, recently bought a Karcher from Tesco and have done, drive, patio, decking the lot, about £130 will get you a half decent K'archer good for home use.

The money in the above is labour rather than materials, I guess its one of those things where if you have the time and tools its cheap to do, if you don't and have to pay someone then it looks like a lot of cash.

gents, not enough hours in a day, over the last year i have sorted out an extension, re did both bathrooms, kitchen and landscaped her back garden. she did not ask me to do as she feels bad for always putting it on me so she went ahead and had the drive done. i did tell her she was stupid and i would of done it but what can you do. i did not even know she wanted it done.

thanks for our pointers but i will go and get a pressure washer for next time.
