Still, i'll be pretty pleased if I'd reached a 101. At least she died peacefully with her family around her..

There is, it'll be on BBC/ITV for the next 2 hours I guess.

Amazing to think that Queen Victoria was alive when she was born.

First Diana
Then Princess Margaret
Now Queen Mum

Seems like a good time to abolish the Royal Family - total waste of space. Perhaps this is a conspiracy by President Blair!!!

Jimbrit is right, total cr@p on the telly. Talking of which, shouldn't this thread be in the muppet forum?

Cheers

Sad day, she was a a lovely lady with a strong spirit.

The rest of the royals should look to how the Queen Mother acted in her younger days.
Through both world wars she got amongst the people promoting public spirit. Even worked as a nurse throughout WW1.
The days of the Monarchy are numbered unless they get their act together very quickly IMO.

Steve, where are u from .
Obviously not London. You dont work in the tourist industry either do you. Think about it. London, Windsor and all the other places inthis country thats full of Yanks and Japs. Why are they here.

Because of our history thats why.If we didnt have the royal family and its traditions most of these people wouldnt come here. Fact.

OK it might make President Blair happy but it would cost this country billions.

Chip. ( royalist)

Whether you like someone or not, its pretty lame to either wish them dead, or rejoice once they are.

My respect to her....

if ppl gave as much time and thought to their own grand parents as they seem to give to those who they never even knew then the world will be a better place.

Tiggs

(i wonder how many of the ppl, that will no doubt travel to london with a bunch of flowers, are folk with a granny that they havent seen in years)
