This to my mind is pretty grim reading, just another of scoobynet disappearing around the u-bend and why i hardly bother reading posts in the general section anymore.

I'm no royalist or royal family lover, but i do think the lady in question deserved more respect than the rest of the royal family put together, and certainly more than displayed by some loud mouthed idiots on here.

funny how there were no royal bashing posts prior to this event and to do so now displays very poor taste by those that have commented.

This thread was started as a place on scoobynet where people can give their condolences, not for people to slam down the queen mother. She done a lot in here time and through all the bad times she had, like the war she still had a smile on her face.

She had a brilliant innings and her death was a sad loss to this country, she was the best royal there is.

Why is it that now she is dead all the people that want to slam her down come out the woodwork, i find it really sad that it took her death for these people to start mouthing off.

RIP queen mum you were a good woman.

I believe the civil list works out to something like 10p per person per year. Seems like good value to me. Having filled up my car with petrol this morning taxed at 84p in the pound, I know who I'd get rid of given the choice between the Royal family and the politicians. RIP.

its a bit odd that there are nursing homes/old ppl homes, etc full of 90 yr olds that risked life and limb for their country, saw/did things that we can only imagine- yet get sod all reward and live in poverty with none of their children/g.children ever bothering to check on them.....but.....thousands go to London to pay their respects to someone they never knew except for what they were told by the TV?????
