My insurance for my modified 2005 WRX has come around again soon.

It seems Keith Michaels gets a good review on here, have been with A Plan the past year but feel their quote is a little high for me. 27 years young with 9 years NCD.

What Im interested in is the comparison between fully comp vs third party fire and theft with Keith Michaels, what is and isnt covered??? Im asking here cos I dont want the 'sales pitch' from any companies at the moment.

Ive been stung in the past with a 'he said, she said' situation when I came to cancel a policy years ago. Basically I wanted to make clear what happens if I cancel a pay per month policy, when I canceled the policy apparently I owed the remainder of the policy, thats not what I was told when I took out the policy. After countless phone calls, letters and cancelling the direct debits it came close to taking it further. In the end they 'discounted' what I still owed and I paid it to get rid of them. They were MCE motorcycle insurance, be warned if theres any motorbike riders on here.

So anyway, Keith Michaels fully comp or TPFT?

There is usually a redemption fee to be paid when the policy is cancelled......if you make a claim /someone makes a claim then the full fee becomes payable AFAIK.

Would do better in insurance though

Ive been stung in the **** by MCE with Bikes AND cars.

Dont use them.... EVER. LOL u wanna try getting your proof off no claims out of them

Will second that, hav done on my impreza and vectra. Personaly I would not bother with tpft, fully comp always for me worth the little extra you have to pay

as above i pay monthly, as for cover depends what car you have, but looking at your profile i would say that should have fully comp insurance, anything less would be foolish, which you would find out to your expense if a uninsured driver hit your car.

i had this very conversation with gary few weeks back, short version is it does away witha few bits of cover that just arn't worth the risk of not having. i can;t remember the exact things but i didn't even entertain the idea.
