Godspeed 335mm Upgrade ?
Anyone fitted are used the godspeed 335mm upgrade kit from Ian Godney. I've already purchased some braided hoses from him and he's a very helpful person, no doubt he'll see this and post his comments too
What I was wondering was :
1. What is the braking performance like, for fast road use not track use. Drilled and grooved discs or just grooved.
2. will they fit under standard 17" new age wheels, or am I going to have to upgrade them too.
Car is going to require new discs and pads before its MOT and I was thinking it seems to be a good deal as an upgrade.
Thanks

I fitted these under my Bug MY02 17" wheels ........... I've got 12 pot Tar -ox now and I think the Godspeed conversion is a better road set up.
I had the Godspeed kit for a while and found the Ferrodo DS500 pads very dirty (tart) so moved over to the Pagid blue pads which I found just as good, slightly more noisy but a lot easier to clean the alloys

Not the 335mm but I have the 330mm grooved front & back, and they have been superb, Ian is also a very helpful guy.
So going by that the 335mm your after shouldnt be a problem atall.

Thanks all for your responses, you know what its like always good idea to seek a second opinion. Once youve paid for a set of performance pads and discs, its not much more to go big and go for the godspeed option. Looks like Ian could be taking another order from me soon

I have the Brembo four pot red calipers with Ferodo DS2000 pads. As I don't track it I started with 335mm drilled and grooved vented Godspeed discs with Alloy bells.
When these needed changing I went for grooved only discs from Godspeed still using the same alloy bells.
All have performed well & there is the added bonus of the unsprung weight saving of the larger discs over the OE ones due to the alloy centres.
I did a guide to fitting the discs & pads if you are thinking of doing it yourself. It only needs basic tools but as with anything brake related if you are in any doubt as to your mechanical aptitude - Get professional help !!!
