Mine too Pete, never get within 1000 rpm of the limit, there is just no need on a turbo car

Are you refering to the red light and the buzzer that is user set on the rev counter? If so that is not a rev limiter it is a light and buzzer that you set to come on at a set revs much like a change light.

At Santa Pod or another racing strip?

Or a set of traffic lights?

If the latter, I suggest lexus lights, a VTA dumpvlave and a trip to Halfords in the near future

P.S. I'm sure a rev limiter is just that, a rev limit... limit on how high revs can go? Does the rev "limit" go higher than the redline for some reason? Anyone???

Previous owner removed the rev limiter perhaps.

I do know it's not good to hit the rev limiter as it can cause damage to the cambelt when bouncing.
