Default What to look out for!

Been looking at 2008 sti! Is there anything to look out for! It has a forge bov and pro drive power upgrade and done 15000 miles!

is it a 2.5ltr UK ??

check signs of head gasket

Temperature when warm should hardly vary up the road.
  • Check dipstick, oil filler etc for signs of water/yucky brown sludge
  • When engine Hot, leave car to stand, remove Expansion tank cap carefully
  • How clean Expansion tank and water (look for signs of oil)
  • Run engine with expansion Tank cap off
  • Check water is not Bubbling up

Make sure no engine rattle

Also another common thing is rear suspension knock

hard to tell just by looks but if 18" wheels and has push button start most likely a Euro import but looks 17"s so 90% uk. to be fair by the web site the seem to know there onions

Yeah I know what you mean about the roof scoop! That may have to come off! Quite worrying about the engine problems though!
