There is mixed opinion about them especially regarding their effectiveness

I have one and it makes me feel better

I do however, only use it after long or hard runs

I personally never used one ,even when i had turbo cars 20 yrs ago, much prefer to drive the last few miles off boost,to allow the oil to cool the turbo down.

Getting turbo yellow + turning it off = retarded

Just calm down for the last couple of miles. Don't **** on your doorstep is always a good idea.

I always leave my timer set for 1 min after any journey (obviously not down the road).

Pointless tat. Adopted by people here because they foolishly think that anything Japanese is purposeful. Remember Tamagotchi Pet? Pointless pseudo-useful gadgets fascinate the Japanese, but they get it, they know its tat really: but we seem to have swallowed it hook line and sinker.

Absolutely crap.

Just drive off boost for last few mins of journey + leave car idling as you get out, remove stuff from car etc ie turn off as last thing you do before entering the house.

TX.

Thanks for your replys I'll not bother with the timer I'll just drive off boost, keeps the neighbours happy because I think a loud car ticking over for a few minutes would drive me mad as well
