I think Len is a prat. Called me a tyre kicking waste of time when I was asking about a 2.5 forged build (API did my 2.5 forged and 6 speed conversion a few weeks later).
My car failed the MOT because "windscreen obstructed"... It was the TomTom suction bracket that actually sat inside the outline of the bonnet scoop!
A mate of mine needed an up-pipe fitted for MOT recently. All booked in and Len cancelled at the last minute putting my mate in a spot.
I also heard some bad feedback from a P1 owner at the 10th anniversary the other week.... big budget stroker build. Bad comms throughout the project. Glad it wasn't my car.
TBH wouldn't take my wheel barrow there ...

^^ In that vein Len "quoted" me (some years ago) for a RCM zorst, 3 port boost solenoid, uprated actuator, RCM induction kit, walbro fuel pump etc. I checked on numerous occasions + by email that it was "all in" so incl installation & VAT. When I collected the car he'd added a further £500 for installation + other "bits & pieces" (no phone call before he did the work) On that occasion (perhaps another?) he also damaged the front of my car as it was reversed out of his garage, albeit repaired before I arrived!

have used them since 2006 iirc and serviced/fixed my96 wrx sti, 2000 legacy b4 and my 500 bhp subaru legacy b4 only in their garage, only have the best things to say about them. Quotes have always been spot on and my cars never missed a beat even after major jobs.

Consistantly used Len and Mark at S4U and to be honest I wouldn't go anywhere else.
They have serviced my car from 218bhp standard UK right up to 450+ RA without any issue whatsoever.
Over the years I've built up a great relationship with the guys and often pop in for tea and a chat, couple of years ago Mark came with me as a pax on our annual Ring trip
top bunch of guys

Len doesn't do the MOTs so how can the obstruction be his fault and he doesn't work for VOSA so how can he be blamed for the rules?

I've had excellent servicing, advice and modding work by S4U. Wouldn't go anywhere else. They have mentioned that they get the odd wally in now and again, luckily it's rare though.
