He means you may have to get + and - the right way round. Try fitting it with the pins one way and then the other if this does not work. ie turn the bulb through 180 degrees

Check the output at the fog light connection with a meter to see which way round the power is (centre +ve I'll bet) then use a couple of wires to test the LED bulb across the battery to see if it works direct - also make a note of the polarity and make sure that what the LED bulb is expecting is what its getting at the fog light connector

I did this conversion on mine, and used two of those multi-LED cluster arrays (used to replace the brake light bulb I think) - I had to cut mine and angle them a bit so that they pointed directly backwards; as the normal reversing light bulb holder is at an angle, and LEDs are very directional, I found that the light output to the rear of the car wasn't that good until it was angled back so they pointed backwards when the bulb is installed

Hope that helps a bit

It was a bit fiddly - I took a hacksaw and carefully cut round the metal shield in two places to remove the angled part, so the LED part could then be bent round to the correct angle

Make a note of how the bulb sits when its fitted; as these are rotated to locate them, its important to get the bend right so it points backwards, and not up or down etc.

I used two and linked them together with bits of brass wire for both -ve continuity and a bit of strength so it didn't flop about when it was installed

I also had to file a little bit out of the actual bulb holder in the tail light itself to get the new larger array to fit inside

Here's a couple of pics of the actual LED array I ended up installing:

and here's a pic of the final effect - this is in bright daylight, and the sidelights are also on to give you an idea of brightness - mine has passed two MOTs like this:

Hope that helps a bit

No probs mate, I could have probably got away with just one of the LED bulbs angled round the right way, but as I had 2 of them I thought I'd use both. Good luck
