to start
car is a my00 uk turbo
vf35 turbo
i have a strange rather load noise, a little hard to explain but its like a load drowning , induction noise when my car hits roughly 0.8 boost , noise seems to be coming from the filter side of the car, i have just had simtek fitted by JGM which the noise was there and he couldnt help with what it was,
so far i have refitted standard ecu , changed induction kit back to standard, changed downpipe and exhaust system checked all gaskets, swop d.v back over to standard, even blanked it off to see if that helped removed intercooler and changed Y pipe and check all gaskets on intercooler , removed standard airbox bit in wing . and checked all hoses
and you got it the noise is still there

going to swop 3 port over tomorrow but doubt it will be that . and have some standard headers which i replaced with ported standard ones last year so going to swop them aswell

when JGM mapped it with the simtek his laptop wasnt sugesting any problems , car is holding boost etc etc

have tried the car on axle stands to see if i can hear where its coming from but as there is no load the boost isnt getting anywhere near 0.8

thought about trying putting it on the rollers but they dont let you stand anywhere near the car when they are running it.


anyone offer any clues

Check the shaft for play...

checked the turbo for play , seems ok , the walls are still black so if was catching would be clean and silver looking
