Default Maxing out the credit card..

Someone make me feel better and tell me how much they've loaded their credit cards with scoob related purchases??

I've got my rad to change so thought i'd go all out and do the timing belt, tensioners and front crank seal whilst i'm there. I work at a parts company so can get decent parts at cost price so that all works out at around 250 quid.

But i also need to do my discs and pads. They're the 330mm alcon/prodrive ones so that alone is going to cost circa 500 quid from godspeed

I also fancy a prodrive rear spoiler and some tein coilovers (as she's going to be used at Castle Combe)

Hmmm circa 1500 which will max me out

Obv the severity is determined by the debt in relation to what you earn. I graduated uni last year and have since been working on near minimum wage at a parts firm.

Someone pay me more please. Thanks

I don't even want to go there

I've stopped using the cards and save for everything now, it is slower, but less painful in the long term.

As for you Mr Budgen - don't you own the credit card companies

The buyer picks up the fees, and more people will ask you to cover that. iirc it's something lime 20p per transaction plus about 3% of the total transaction

I've just brought a STI 5 spoiler, STI boot lid and H&S exhaust, cost me £580 and still need to get the spoiler, boot lid and skirts sprayed. So another £400 maybe ha. That's near enough 1 large (The Fast and Furious lingo.).

DO IT! Lol

What is your APR on your card? Minimum payment is going to be £75 a month or there abouts and take about 7 years to pay back on a card at 10% APR if you ONLY make the minimum payment each month. If you can you'd be best off getting an arranged overdraft.

Alright Aaron, yeh only problem with that is I took out a 5k loan last year to buy my Ducati and i'm paying that back over 24 months so paying already 220 a month for that, so no real chance of another loan or extending overdrafts. Plus i already have a 2k overdraft left over from university

APR on the card is 16.9% iirc.
