Guys,
I know this is not the right forum for this question but I need a quick answer and this forum is the one that browsed most regularly.
I'm renewing my insurance and a couple of likely candidates (i.e reasonable prices) have asked me which CAT 1 alarm is fitted as standard to the UK spec Impreza. Dammed if I know. Any ideas ?
Cheers, Ian.

darms,
I've got a Cobra Cat 1 (model 6422 I think) on mine, and it's brilliant. Not much in the way of gizmos, but does what it's supposed to do, and, most importantly, is totally hassle-free.
Crap it certainly isn't!
Pete

You should have a certificate for your alarm to show that it has been fitted by an approved (?) fitter. My insurance company wanted to see the original certificate for mine, I'm assuming this is standard practice
It should say on your certificate what alarm it is.

Just a quick note. If your car has a cobra cat 1 or 2 then get it replaced. I fitted a new cat 1 to Logiclee's car and if you ask him how his cobra was fitted he'll tell you the same thing. They were all fitted the same and it took me 35 seconds (no kidding)to bypass it and get his car started.
Trust me if you want to keep it get it removed and replaced with something better!!!!!and by the way on the newer one's it is a sigma M30.

Won't go into details here but Craig is correct, it took us less than a minute to defeat the Cobra immobiliser.
Money well spent getting rid of that useless piece of junk.
