I think the forum has changed a lot over the last 4 years, maybe its due to a lack of interest in the new models, less newbie’s post up asking for basic advice. I still love the forum and have always found it to be packed with very nice people who are willing to offer and share ideas.

ditto but remember all things work in cycles sidc was buzzing about 5 years ago , now its even more of a goast town than here is ,and theres a lot more footfall through here also.

its always hard to put a finger on what changes a site (maybe its just a different time , place , and people)

I use NASIOC quite a lot now for technical info as it has a very large (understandably) active community. I still look at the sales sections on Scoobynet a couple of times a day. I like a lot of other people get a bit frustrated with the long load times and double posting.

Ben

p.s. long live scoobynet!!

Scoobies are either all you can afford, or a stepping stone to a better/posher vehicle.

So I kept mine, but many are now driving RS4's & 911 derivatives....

I'm a bit bored of all the 1995 misfire threads myself.

22b is a decent source of information on many aspects of tuning, not styling !

P.S. The problems with the site don't help, but as site traffic drops, so will support.

I dont use it so much as I got sooo bored of seeing the same threads over and over, (dump valves, what shall i buy? wrx or sti? etc etc)

and this
https://www.scoobynet.com/news-and-a...mediately.html

so I use other sites, sidc, subaru central ans P1woc.

I used to use my local forum alot but is all rubbish on there. At least on scoobynet you get a better range of people looking at the posts and alot of the time they know what they are talking about. Ive always had people reply to my threads. But maybe the problem is that scoobynet has been so succesful that people no longer need tech advice ect and now know everything they need to.

i still find it can be quite clicky on here, try posting anything before you've got 100 posts and not alot happens as everybody just thinks your a useless noob.

Remember that everyone gets older and moves on, I've stayed around as I have nowhere else to go .... and it's still great reading posts from well meaning hobbyists who need help

its changed but theres also many more forums started in the past year so a lot of people always try the new sites,

however i think snet used to be busier but due to all the scams its put a lot of people off,and this used to be the main place to buy/sell so it will take a big drop as peole will advertise there stuff elsewhere

i still use it everyday but it takes the **** at the amount of time the pages take to load etc etc
