Knock sensor
Hi people. I've got a problem. The fault code I've got was knock sensor. Is it just a new knock sensor or could it be some thing else that making the sensor think there's a fault. I know nothing about these things so please help...

Think you'll find that it's the sensor that's not working properly and is not responding as it should to signals from the engine control unit. A replacement is probably what you need but best check that electrical connections to the sensor havn't worked loose. Also remove the sensor and have it checked before you spend on a replacement. You could contact someone like imprezabreaker to buy a used replacement sensor for a fraction of the price of a new one.

Check connections ....... break and make them ....... the ECU checks for electrical continuity and resistance value (it does not check for knock, if you understand?)
So, check connectors!
So, check connectors!
