Default New Scoob

Hello Gents

I wonder if anyone can provide me with a bit of advice? I had a 99 classic with a few mods, but I sold it a year ago due to the missus complaining about how much petrol it was using. I am now pleased to say that I have just brought myself a bog standard 02 scoob. I want to do a few mods to inprove the fuel economy (before she starts moaning again ), but not sure where to start. I've been told a remap would do the trick, but is it worth remapping a standard one?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

D

Yes, you can map standard ones. It's about the only thing you can do to improve fuel consumption that isn't based on bullsh*t, apart from not using your right foot so much of course.

Thanks.

I've been told an air filter would help. Would this be the case?

If the car is standard then the standard air filter, changed at the correct intervals, is fine.

I think whatever steps you take, the fuel economy on an Impreza is never going to be great unfortunately

It would be nice if it was though!
