Got home at 10pm last night.
Total covered approx 2800 miles (enjoyed every one of them
)
Best bit...
Too many to choose from really, but if pressed it would be watching Panizi donut the hairpin on Villadrau stage in front of over 5000 people on Sunday morning.
Unbelievable

Got back 10.30 last night courtesy Easyjet. Only managed to meet up with the rest of the guys a couple of times - in a bar believe it or not! Anyone contemplating buying a Citroen Xsara 1.4? If so, don't! Although I did get 160kph out of mine on the autopista eventually!
Worst bit? Arriving really, really early for Vallfogona 1 on Saturday only for it to get pulled. Too many best bits to mention (although I was quite chuffed when Tina Thorner recognised me in La Pampa on Sunday night
). Oh and chatting with Dave Richards in Viladrau on Sunday morning - I drove and walked there, he helicoptered! (By the way, the "future" is 2.5 litre non-turbo so cars start to sound like proper rally cars again - you heard it here first!)
Pics to follow when I can be bothered!!

I think this trip deserves a novel type afair.
LOL I'll get on that this week.
Guess how many Km's that golf had on it when i dropped it off? 571Km's. It must have been below 100 km's when i picked it up. LOL Poor thing.
Damn, that was hard work keeping that thing up with the Impreza's on the fast corners, had a few "moments" but on the whole it was pretty damn impresive. I hadn't really sussed it but 200Km/hr=125MPH. Yikes!!!!!! No wonder i was working hard!
Stick some decent suspension on there and it would be damn fast and stable cross country. It was still great to jump in my sport when i got to the airport though! Seemed quite low on power but the suspension and especially my tyres were hugely better.
Burnouts in a diesel? surely not.
LOL (i think i now know what check engine means in spanish LOL, it was either that or a good attempt at begging for mercy)

LOL John. 2 black lines for about 40ft spring to mind
My most amusing moment was following you around that corner with you making about 8 corrections to keep it pointing forward

That wasnt amusing from my seat! That was a nasty corner, damn fast downhill off camber tightening on a very slippy surface, that Golf Protesteth too much.
LOL
The most fun bit was the crest mid left corner that had the back out big style, just before my TOCA Tour impresions.

I'm glad you lot had a good time, how many Scoobys did you get out there in the end ????
Also our kid said he saw about 5 UK Scoobys near the service area on the Sunday flashed like mad and waved, if it was non of you lot who was it ???
John did you speak to a guy called Neil Collins in Mobbys on Sunday night as they all got into the Ford party after and ended up with Collin and Petta on the raz after.

Cant remember the guys name unfortunately, i spoke to a few of them in there.
Most of the guys who went to Moby's ended the night in the VIP area, the main club exodus started about 1am i think so we all went upstairs.
Most of the Drivers were in there, i had a chat with Petter and Nicky Grist. Others there were Colin, Alister (who can hold 4 bottles of beer in the fingers of one hand
), Giles panizi, robert reid, gwyndaff etc etc plus team guys like dave lapworth.
Petter was a top bloke all night, think he left about 4am after giving it some on the dance floor. I left there about 5:30am and ended up chating with Nial McShay till 6am chomping on some burgers outside Moby's. LOL
great fun, PeteC woke me up at 9:30am, grrrrr LOL. i had his 2 way radios for the journey home. Went back to bed then till 3pm LOL.
Sal was funny after meeting Petter, she seemed rather happy about that.
