Bill Gwynne Rally School.........again !
#1
Yesterday saw yet another tremendous SIDC day at the Bill Gwynne Rally School.
As ever, thanks to Neil Micklethwaite for organising it, and for making the effort to come down to abuse me, together with everyone who looked after us so well during the day. Special thanks to our instructor Nick for his efforts, and his patience.
However, as you can see from the picture, Nick’s still taking his mother’s advice about wearing clean underwear, in case he’s in an accident. Good job, as there were one or two……or three or four…

For those of you who haven’t tried it yet, it really is a must. Unfortunately, it’s also rather addictive, but I’m hoping the in car video I bought of my day might help the withdrawal symptoms.

Excellent day out - thanks again to Neil for organising it. A big thanks to Josh and Matt for providing the entertainment. Matt who kindly drove towards us spectators mid lap to give us a closer look at the car and Josh for providing the biggest dust storm of the day haven't had this much fun in ages.
I know what you mean about being addictive Josh - I have just got to do it again - Dave what are we doing on the 13th April ?

I went to the bill gwynne rallyschool for my 30th birthday last year and it was a fantastic day.Nick was also my instructor on the day,However he managed to stay fully clothed on that day even though it was about 30 degrees c in july.So presumably nick now gives away his clothes to the most improved driver of the day instead of the more refreshing bottle of champagne!!!

Twas the third time for me (+ the times I've photographed the event). Always brill!
Sadly I'd have to lose about twelve stone, and cut off my legs, to make any use of Nick's clothes.
However, I think I understand what he's up to though. As you may be aware, Jo Guest is trying to make the leap for page 3 model to rally driver, maybe Nick's just trying to do it the other way ;-)

Coincidentally, I was up at Silverstone rally school on Saturday just for a look. I am really interested in going, but it sounds like BGRS is the place to be.
Has anyone been to both?
What is the difference?

It's nice to know you're not just rude by email Dave. Now get back to work, you layabout
Anyone would think you're self-unemployed like me
Josh
PS Is Carolyn still chanting 'I want to do it again' every five minutes, or does that stop the moment you go to bed, like it does in our house.
PPS Unfortunately, Lynn has really been bitten by the bug, and I think she'd really like to have a go. Looks like we'll have to sell one of the kids! Now might be a good time to become Catholic, so we can restock

I had an email from Nick late last night, claiming to have received modelling offers. From Damart I would suspect
Josh
PS The hooligan was supposed to scare my Wife, not give her the rallying bug (at least I think that's what it was, as the cream isn't helping)
