GY04AKG - Anyone know it? Advice re: buying it!
Hi all,
I am brand new here. After having performance cars in the past but having had a break for the past three years, I fancy a Subaru now.
Saw this one today at a dealer near Worksop. Had bills for £8000 at Subaru for Prodrive upgrades including ECU, re-map, exhaust, etc, etc. Also had full Subaru history on time or mileage and 1 owner. It has been 'rolling-roaded' at 304bhp.
I have looked round it including underneath and it is mint.
Just after advice really. Is it too dear? Also how will the mods harm my insurance (im 30 with 10 years NCB)? Should I start off with something standard?
Any advice at all would be most welcome.

Welcome m8,
In my opinion it looks to be overpriced, you can get far more for your money elsewhere or privately. But then again i dont know as much about newage models, ive got as classic.
Theres plenty people on here who will point you in the right direction.

yes its too dear!
For that you should get an sti.
Plus they are taking the mick saying its cost 8k to get the prodrive pack.
Its about 1.5 k and cheaper if you just remap it and get an exhaust yourself.

Definitely overpriced.... you could pick up a good STi of the same year cheaper..... 12 months ago.....
Keep an eye in the Classifieds thread here and on Pistonheads.... you'll quickly get an idea of prices.

UK Blob WRX PPP does not give 300 odd BHP (PPP for the STi is 305PS)......they have mistaken the performance figures for the STi model., shame on them !
It's not a jap model so would be turning out about 250 -265 BHP on a good day....if it was cold with a following wind LOL
In the cold light of day how much are you willing to spend ??
