Maybe I am "Mis-remembering" this but I thought Prodrive offered a 25 year defect warranty for exhaust systems? Just spoke to Quenbys in Baldock and the guy said he thought it was 3 years but he didn't really know.

Anyone here know?

I ask as I've just got the MY04 back from MOT (Passed) with a notification on a split in the back box (basically the back panel has come away slightly from the back box) They said it could be fixed with some Aluminium welding but I thought I'd investigate the warranty thing first.

As always - help / info much appreciated.

I'd be concerned why they would want to Aluminium-weld stainless steel!

Defects are one thing, wear and tear is another, you're best bet is to get someone (decent) to weld it which should be cheaper/easier than going to the trouble of getting the backbox sent away and sorted or whatever.

I think they are ugly BBoxes tbh, good opportunity to get a nicer one. My new Scoobysport cost sub £200 in a GB is lovely

BUT, on the basis that the exhaust and cat pipe invoices for near £500 on the PPP I'd want more than 3 years out of it !

Even at the discounted price I paid (2005/6) !!!!
