Default How was your weekend? mine not so good :(

Car ended up like this, after some numpty didnt indicate when making a u turn and I was overtaking.

He braked and pulled over to the left so i thought he was either allowing me to overtake or pulling over to stop (which quite often happens on this road) as he didnt indicate at all.
Still the most important thing is myself and my 7yr daughter walked away pretty much un hurt. Though I do seem to have some pain on the left side of my face

Would like to say thanks to the fellow scooby owner that saw the accident and also gave a statement to the police. The 3rd party driver is claiming he cant remember if he indicated or not. Police told me he will have to go on a driver awarness course. They also told me they think he was map reading at the time!!!!

The tree the back end hit, thankfully it was the bumper that took this force and not the rear door which is where my daughter was sat.

Bad news fella. Its a real shame that people dont pay attention on the road and cause innocent drivers like yourself to have such horrific accidents. Makes you wonder how they got their license in the first place!

Did you sustain any injuries? Hopefully your ok as this in the most important thing. Cars can be replaced.

I was in a similar accident where someone pulled out of a side road and wrote off my E46 m3. Completely totalled it which resulted in me purchasing the scoob!

I recommend you go through your insurance company in order to claim from the third party. This way you will get a courtesy car ASAP and the third party will cover the cost.

glad to hear your all ok, its ashame that the person has to lie and say they can't remember if they indicated, put your hands up and say i'm sorry i didn't indicate and that caused the accident.

Rang Keith Michaels and pressed 0 for claims, Was transfered to Wins solicitors lol

Other driver has put a non fault claim in also so Solicitors have rang the witness but he isnt home until later.

Off to hospital later today as the left side of my face is starting to throb and the back of my neck is starting to ache.

Was a beutiful car, and I planned to take it to Germany with me next week when I start my new job over there

Well as I plan on moving to Germany next week, I wont be getting a new one anytime soon.

I plan on coming back in June for a couple of weeks. And may look at buying one then. hopefully the claim will have been settled by then plus I will have some cash in the bank from the new job.

I am surprised there was no injuries of a more serious nature looking at the state of my car

I am thankful my GF and son (1yr old on Bank holiday monday) where not in the car as they sit passenger side and would of taken more of the force than my daughter or myself.

You should be able to buy that back for peanuts. The insurance company offered me my E46 m3 for £2900! It only has a smash in the door and rear n/s panel. If you do want to purchase your car back to sell for parts, chase up the insurance company as they should give you a very good price for your car.

Thats pretty messy, but glad you all walked away unhurt.

Look on the bright side though, no more afterburner rear lights

That is not very funny and is uncalled for! Its like me saying to you "its a shame you was not crossing the road at the time of the accident because then we would have one less wingnut in the world!"

Pulling out without indicating and while reading a map, it's your textbook definition of a Sunday driver

Well its my opinion that they look better than the standard STI ones.

Should I get another classic the first thing I will be looking for is afterburner lights. At least they have fog lights fitted.....
