Default HELP Dilema...... STI V5 Type RA or P1

I currently have a V5 STi Type RA WRC Limited as a weekend toy but I owned a P1 back in 2000-2004 and now I can't stop looking out for one in the ads..............

My dilema & Question is - should I keep the RA or carry on looking for a good P1?

Both amazin' cars in there own ways but which one? i'm finding the decision really difficult.

What do you want it for? The STI Type-RA is certainly the superior car; helical front LSD too...

Its a superior car to an STI Type-R too, let alone a P1.

Couldn,t agree more...

2.25 Quickrack, dccd, helical diff and gearing make for an awsome experience.

P1 will feel soft and unfocused in comparison.

P1 is just a Ver V STi in drag I'd get the P1 for the looks albeit they're prone to engine problems (well know on here) so either (a) keep some money spare (b) get one that's already been rebuilt.

If you have the RA though then, as per the crowd, it's a better car so perhaps keep P1 is newer though & better looking if that's your bag.

RA - thats where I'm going next. Even my V5 STi Wagon is more focused* than a P1.

(*Just. None of this Andrex puppy soft Prodrive suspension nonsense )

P1 is the same model year as the v5 sti ra.

so its a no brainer then... I'll keep the RA, time to tax it and get her out of the garage. I just need to do more miles to appreciate the car I think ... (shhhhhhhhhh......and yes it is superior to a Type R..... but that will open a can of worms with the Type R boys so best not mention that)

The mechanical spec is why I bought the RA in the first place especially as it had a front Helical LSD and other goodies....

Maybe I'll concentrate on other stuff now..... like finding a set of AP 6 pot brakes

maybe going to Prodrive on May 9th is a bad idea though

Cheers for all comments
