Best places for parts (and which brand best)?
HI,
Where's the best places for parts?
Just want a list so that if I need them I know where to order quickly.
Would be great if I could get some recommendations for subaru and non-subaru brands such as:
1. Air filer
2. Oil filer
3. Brake discs and pads

1. K&N, Green or Cosworth
2. Subaru genuine
3. Depends what car you have, what sort of driving you do, and how much you want to spend.
If you want a reasonably priced supplier try www.importcarparts.co.uk. Miles cheaper than a main dealer, either Subaru Genuine or 100% OE spec parts, and excellent service.

Cheers guys!
I have a 04-plate Legacy H6 Sport Tourer - Had a scout round some dealer and indy - I can live with the service kit of £70+, and Pads of £75+, but discs (314mm) at £177+ EACH?!!!!
Probably be looking at some nice 'cheap' decent parts just to keep the costs down - but if I can occassional roar the H6 as well :P
I was hoping prices were abt the same for what I paid my BMW indy...apparently not for a H6!
What sort of prices should I be paying for front pads/discs and rear for normal 'civilised' drive (in order to achieve the manufacturer's 28MPG) but occassionally happy to put the foot down at 'rare' times hitting 12MPG......or less?

If you want a reasonably priced supplier try Import Car Parts - Japanese car parts for Subaru, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Mitsubishi and more. Miles cheaper than a main dealer, either Subaru Genuine or 100% OE spec parts, and excellent service.
