hi guys need some info

hi guys i have just recently found that my speedo cable has snapped and i hav no speedo the thing i want to no is will my car still run ok without it or will it automaticly go into safe mode i have a my93 wrx import superchipped

it will run fine but it will be limited to 0.5bar and 4500rpm BUT i've no idea how the chip will affect the OE safety feature.
