Default help guys please

my **** head ov a mechanic has just phoned me me was spose to be replacing a gearbox for me on my 93 wrx and aparinitly somthing ie speedo sensor or somthing has sheared ov and aparinitly the one on my gearbox is cable and the new gearbox is elictric can somone shed some light on this please many thanks mikey

Think this is common for the sensor to shear.

A complete guess but I think the sensor may be for the mechanical speedo whereas the later facelift classics had electric speedo/clocks.Have you a later gearbox? Maybe you need new facelift clocks.

no the sensor had sheared and i can get it out at all
